ASTM A312 316Ti Thick Wall Pipe
ASTM A312 is a specification published by ASTM International that
covers seamless, welded, and heavily cold-formed ferritic,
austenitic, and ferritic-austenitic (duplex) stainless steel pipe
intended for high-temperature and high-pressure service. The
"316Ti" designation refers to a specific type of stainless steel.
316Ti is a modified version of the standard AISI 316 stainless
steel. It includes titanium additions to stabilize the material
against sensitization during welding or heat treatment processes.
This stabilization helps prevent intergranular corrosion, which can
be an issue in stainless steels when they are exposed to certain
corrosive environments, especially at elevated temperatures.
