The EN10216-2 TC2 specification refers to the European standard for seamless steel tubes used in pressure applications. In this case, P235GH represents a non-alloy quality steel grade typically used for elevated temperature service.

They are similar to EN 10216 P265GH but with the lower content of Carbon and on the other hand with higher content of Manganese. EN 10216 P235GH steel has low yield and tensile strength compared with EN 10216-2 P265GH. The EN 10216 material is also designed for high-temperature applications. EN 10216-2 material have good cold working as well as hot working characteristics. Therefore it is utilized in pipes transporting hot liquids.
